I wanted to play with Painter, so I found an old charcoal sketch and redid it. And that's it. That's the whole story in a nutshell. Now there's another one. "Nutshell". Where did that come from? Did people really keep things in nutshells back when that phrase was coined? You couldn't fit much of anything in a nutshell. Some xanaxes, maybe. Unless they had really big nuts back then. And if they did, people would shout, "Oh my God, there's a nut falling from the tree!" And everyone would run, and someone like Shelley Winters wouldn't make it, and a brave guy like Robert Stack would go back and pull her out from under the nut, even though he would feel like slapping her because of the screaming. Just some idle thoughts on a rainy day.
