If you look into the space in front of you and focus on the air, gradually eliminating all "objects" from your view, this is what you'll see. I know, I tried it. This is what air looks like. We think it's perfectly transparent, but as any psychotherapist will tell you, nothing is perfectly transparent. But is there any nothing? Can't we see nothing? We wade through vast thickets of stuff, the world is chock full of stuff, stuff flows in and out of us, stuff bombards our skin, penetrates and changes, and our stuff sloughs off and floats around in a pungent stew of stuff for others to breathe and shit and grow flowers. Ain't life grand?
