I have always thought that my birth was a terrible mistake: I should have been born to a wealthy family of aristocrats, in whose bosom I could flourish as a ne'er-do-well dilettante black sheep son, living off a generous allowance while I dabbled in various pleasant amusements. I just don't seem to possess the basic skills necessary to function in the modern world. Licenses, maintenance schedules, contracts, taxes, registrations, personal relationships, it all seems so overwhelming. I don't see why there can't be some kind of Artistic License or whatnot that gives me a pass. Today I visited with an old friend who shares the same shortcomings. It felt very good to know I'm not alone in this.
