For you simple country folk, this is a deceased shopping cart. Urban nature consists of a rich variety of species you may never encounter in the wild. This particular shopping cart is a good specimen of a cart in its prime. They usually live for five years or longer, but this one, judging from the condition of its little rubber wheels, was no more than six months old. It was obviously cut down prematurely, but that's what life is like: when the guy next to you is taken out, you just breathe a sigh of relief and look the other way.
