IMAGES FROM THE RALLY

I was hoping to have my sanity restored, it having taken a beating in recent years, but it didn't take. What I did have was the experience of being in very close proximity to many thousands more human beings than I'm comfortable with. My normal limit is two, or three if they're small. Saturday, long before I came within earshot, let alone eyeshot, of the festivities, I was caught up in a mess of humanity that made me feel like a bit of pork jowl pressed in a can of Spam, or maybe a mastodon in a glacier, flowing toward the stage at a speed that could only be measured in geologic time. Sure was fun.
